So...if you all noticed at all (I know I was super subtle about it), previous sound effect words were in English, but...now that David is in Japan, the effects have turned Japanese!
"I'm turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese..." ^_~
David putting his shirt away results in 'basa' or 'rustle'. Dad stepping into the room is 'saku' or a 'soft step'.
From now on, I'm going to refer to David as Atsushi, which is his Japanese name and the original name I came up with for him. And...if you didn't know already...I LOVE Japanese sound effects! (I'm crazy, I know.)
Shoon, I use computones, which I got when I picked up one of those "How to Draw Manga" books. Lots of 'serious' artists don't like them, but they are authentically produced in Japan by Japanese mangaka, so I don't have a problem with them. You can get all those books cheap from Amazon.com.
FYDreams...EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! Ureshi! I'm so happy! ^____^ You know I don't normally resort to multiple exclaimation marks, etc, but...I'm just SO touched and gratified. FANART! I just don't know what to say...David and Jon look AWESOME! I couldn't have drawn them better myself. I'm going to put them in my gallery section.
Thank you Thank you, all of you, for your wonderful comments and your positive attitudes. (I'm grinning like an idiot now...I think I scared some people out of my shop...)
Interesting manga. Thanks for your input on my doujinshi, I do misuse ink and tone alot. It's all apart of learning I suppose. I am going to stick to the caligraphy pens, but I'm switching the type I use. I'm going to go for a more sketchy type of inking. Kinda like Ran Mutsuki/Chrono Nanae mix.
I wish you luck with your manga, so wish some on mine also!
