Weren't Expecting THAT Were You?
When you have a situation of unexpected...passion (violent or otherwise), it's hard to live up to people's expectations. I'm wondering how I did. (Your responses help me to plan out the plot of my comic as a whole, so thanks in advance!)
Please tell me:
Were you surprised? Were you disappointed? Were you pleased with the outcome, or did you find it boring and predictable? Did you feel satisfied with the way the characters interacted with each other, or did you find it anti-climactic?
In other news...reminder that there will be no comic page on Monday, but I will be posting a birthday pic for myself. ^__^
i was kind of surprised. i guess i expected him to try and kiss him or do something other than that. then agin, i am the one with friends who go up to random people and tell them they're either gonming to be killed or gang raped.
Yes, this is a typical shounen-ai/boys love comic after all, so I am compelled to stick to most stereotypes of the genre. I agree with Devdasi that few things if any are truly original. Humans are limited by their brain capacity, I always feel.
Stripes--you have some very weird friends. ^_~ Nevertheless, the more the merrier!
Yeah, I'm the queen of subtle and as well, endless, rambling dialogue...^_^
It's tempting to have Atsushi kissed/fondled/raped by an almost stranger, but I thought that it would be too unrealistic. Daisuke-sama's a jerk, but he has scruples...I think. Anyway, the fun stuff is inevitable...eventually. ^_~
Sami! Haven't seen you in a while! Hope you've been well.
Hmm, seems several of you were hoping Atsushi would get kissed...you pervy shounen-ai fanciers you! ^__^ (Of course! otherwise why would you be here, reading my typical shounen-ai comic?)
gsgfd--yes, this type of situation is very common in love comics. You can even call it genre specific. I'm amused you found it funny...^_^
One of the points of this comic is to try and stay as true as possible to the shounen-ai shojo manga style. However, because lots of BL manga tend to be highly melodramatic and overwraught, I try to temper that by creating more 'believable' situations. Nevertheless, this style comes with its own set of cliches.
Which kittykattle90 points out succinctly! ^_^
MuriraRK--just wanted to say your avatar is so cheerful, it always makes me smile!
Woo! Yay for practical! I feel the same way pyo ^ . ^ Most people are like (to my comics) OMG THEY SHOULD HAVE HOT MAN LOVE RIGHT NOW and I'm like...but it's the first date...that only happens in scandalous yaoi mangas! ^ . ^
